  • Conditions: Can paddle in challenging conditions, including rough seas and winds up to 20–25 knots.


  • Speed: Average speed of 10–12 km/h for 1 hour on flat water.


  • Remounting: Can remount from both sides in rough conditions (moderate waves, winds up to 20-25 knots).


  • Emergency Skills: Can paddle to shore in challenging conditions with a paddle; can make progress without a paddle (e.g., using hands or body) in moderate conditions.


  • Assistance: Can assist other paddlers in distress in rough conditions, including towing or stabilising in waves.


  • Downwind: Proficient in downwind paddling, able to link waves and maintain a steady flow, with good navigation control in moderate downwind conditions.


  • Upwind: Can paddle upwind efficiently in winds up to 20–25 knots, maintaining reasonable speed and control.


  • Additional Notes: Strong technical skills, good fitness, and confidence in dynamic environments. Capable of longer paddles and group leadership in moderate conditions.
